Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well... I'm starting to feel like things are moving forward after the holidays. I will admit that after you take a break like that it takes a while to get the creativity flowing again. I'm working on something new... had some things come up this week and it has put me a little behind, but I'm pushing through it all and hope to have something new soon!
This is my entry for Week#2 of the 52 week...Art Journal Caravan that Tangie has organized at SBG. This is not a contest, but a kind of digital art retreat for people to either learn or continue to learn about Art Journaling. You can do it digital or paper. It is up to you. I am trying to do things by hand during this, but may also do some digital too. The organization of this is AMAZING and what an inspirational group that has gathered there... We are supposed to pick a word for the year to focus on during this process. I have decided that for this year my word is "Permission" I love my job as a Designer and feel so thankful that I get to do what I love, but sometimes I just need to create for only "me" and not have any expectations. To just put colors on the paper and follow the journey where it leads me. Permission to be messy, not perfect, just "me". So no matter if I have the busiest day... I give myself "permission" to take a 1/2 hr break for "me" and journal. It has always been very therapeutic and I miss it very much... I feel like I have come home.
The word for this week is Accept I first started a different approach and expression for the word "Accept" by the middle of the week the word evolved and had a deeper meaning for me that what it started out as.
Everything is created by hand by me... no digital this time :)
